Braveheart Ventures is one of the 400 or so firms that make up the membership of the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA). The BVCA is the industry body and public policy advocate for the private equity and venture capital industry in the UK. It aims not only to promote the industry to entrepreneurs and investors as well as to the Government, the EU, trade unions, international media and the general public, but also to aid understanding, clarity and transparency around the activites of its members.
Braveheart specialises in building tax efficient portfolios for clients. This normally entails utilising the benefits of the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS). EIS is a government initiative designed to encourage investment in small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing investors with various tax breaks. The EIS Association ("EISA") is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, the aim of which is to further the availability of capital and resource to companies through EIS.
